This month I want to give you all some tips that may help you fine-tune your supplement program. We are very fortunate these days to have high quality supplements derived from algae. Algaes are highly nutritive. They are rich in chlorophyll, amino acids (as highly digestible protein), vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, fatty acids, nucleic acids (RNA/DNA), and enzymes.
Research suggests that protein from spirulina is more digestible than other sources. Eg beef protein is only 20% digestible whereas spirulina protein is as much as 95% digestible. Chorella, on the other hand, is one of the most powerful detoxifiers of all food, speeds up wound healing, strengthens immunity and protects the body against viruses and other invading organisms.
Fat soluble chlorophyll has been found to enhance haemoglobin and red blood cell production, in addition to iron, Vit B12 and folic acid, which are also present in algaes. This may make fat-soluble chlorophyll particularly useful for those prone to anaemia and women who experience excessively heavy menstrual flow.
